Puri Temple is located in Banjar Canggu, however Canggu has become the collective name for a number of villages on Bali’s west coast. Previously a sleepy coastal locale, Canggu has recently transformed into Bali’s top travel destination.
The popular beaches, just a short walk, are great spots for surfing, sunset drinks or dinner at one of the local restaurants or beach clubs. Finns Club (5 minutes drive) has excellent facilities to play tennis and a well equipped gym, a water slide, bounce, boxing and 10pin bowling. You can purchase a day’s entrance at the door.
You can enjoy both Western and Indonesian cuisine at an array of eclectic cafes and restaurants in the local area. Popular restaurants and bars within walking distance to the villa include La Brisa, Old Mans, The Lawn, Deus Ex Machina, The Common, Shady Shack, La Baracca & many more. The nearby Tugu hotel offers superb fine dining in a variety of unique settings from private banquet rooms to intimate settings on walkways above a large lotus pond. They also have the best Japanese fine dining in Bali at Ji. There is a vibrant live music scene with regular gigs at Deus and Old Mans. Canggu is evolving quickly with new cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques opening regularly.
The Kuda P stables in Pererenan, and the Umalas stables can arrange horse rides on the beach. Pura Tanah Lot; a sea temple perched high on a craggy wave-lashed rock and probably the most photographed sight in Bali.
